G’Day everyone, Dutch here! Welcome to my little place in the Universe! Gonna do a short blog (is that cheering I hear, it’s not gonna be that short)… before pressing on a getting ready for the weekend… Got a video about friends to start things…
Sooooooooooooo, put your troubles aside, pull up a chair and visit a spell…..
This is how my little place in the Universe looked this morning just as the sun was coming up….
Sort of resembled one of those ghost films to start but the fog quickly intensified as the sun warm the air and shortly after the picture was taken the visibility had dropped to about 100 yards….as I have said, spring is starting to make it’s presence known and one way to tell is the increase in the birds a singing and the like… heard doves, sparrows, starlings and black birds this AM in numbers…. But when I was taking the picture it was quiet for the most part with the exception of a male cardinal in my backyard that was standing in for the rooster (don’t have any near by) and decided to let the backyard know it was time to get up… utilized the voice recorder on my camera and here is what he sounded like, the doves were too far away to pick up with the mike…
After the sun come up some more some doves and a grackle or two moved in on the feeder….
They like this ole feeder, a survivor of the ‘96 tornado, because of the big base… doves and other birds are ground feeders and have a difficult if not impossible time on perches to feed… other birds were starting to show up and in this next picture you can see a female cardinal waiting her turn…
Not to be outdone or left out, one of Attilia’s brood decided to pop in and eat the sunflower seeds in the feed….
I don’t spend a whole lot of time trying to keep them out although their antics can be humorous at times at trying to outwit me and they usually do.. Seeing them got me to wondering what Attilia’s cousin in Mississippi is doing… What!!! Your new here and never met Attilia’s cousin… wellllllllllllllll, let me bring you up to date….
Wouldn’t them both in the same yard at the same time…..
Gonna have pork roast, mashed potatoes and asparagus for supper tonight… here is my recipe for the pork roast if anyone is interested….
Guess what IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII got… radio controlled, gas powered, 4 wheel drive…
You know, there’s a young man (about 7 or 8 years old) down the street that has one of those Wal-Mart battery powered RC’s that he’s been running all summer and he thinks he rules the block…
As usual will be the last blog until next week and I’ll be in and out this weekend so wanted to tell everyone I hope you
And enjoy it because the moment won’t come again..
Well, better scoot, have to finish up the day…. Soooooooooooooooooo everyone have a smilin’ gooooooooooooood day full of Peace Love and Happiness and I’ll see you next time if the good Lords willing and the creeks don’t rise...
