G'Day everyone, Dutch here! Welcome to my little place in the Universe!
Gonna pop in and do another blog here.. mainly because of the weather, dreary and cool outside right now… staying with the music I grew up with.. gonna have Mr Webb Pierce start this show… a little tune called “There Stands The Glass”..
Soooooooooooooo put your troubles aside, pull up a chair and visit a spell…
gonna touch up on the weather briefly… had some rain, a little hail and wind yesterday the more severe weather stayed south this time around...however another round of weather is coming tomorrow.. Here is a graphic from Norman, Okla. for tomorrow showing the possibilities of severe weather within 25 miles of a given point..
also here is a graphic of the amount of rain forecasted to fall between tonight (Weds.) and Saturday morning…
and I wouldn’t be in too big a hurry of putting plants out this weekend if your in my part of the world, lows in the 30’s and they’re not ruling out the possibility of snow either…
and taking a break here is Mr. Cal Smith in a tune called “It’s A Lovely World”…
the weather we’re having is not favorable for a lively little dog like Bree… and there is nothing worse that a bored Jack Russell…
going back outside for a minute, in the following photo you can see a couple of doves feeding underneath the finch feeder….
the finch feeder is filled with thistle seed… the finches, of course can feed off a perch, being the sloppy eaters they are put about as much food on the ground as they eat… and the ground feeders like the doves love it… when the finches move in so do the ground feeders..
Well, we can’t any country music without this gentleman, Mr. Ernest Tubb… wanted to do Waltz Across Texas but couldn’t find a decent video so choose this tune instead, called “You Don’t Have To Be A Baby To Cry”…
Got a few indoor projects to tidy up on and get supper started later… here is the recipe if anyone is interested…
So better scoot and finish up the day and get ready for the weather event for tomorrow...Soooooooooooooo everyone have a smilin' gooooooooooooooooood day full of Peace Love and Happiness and I'll see you next time if the good Lord's willing and the creeks don't rise....
I think they should make this next song by Hank Thompson the national anthem.. just us good ole boys being “different”…one of my favorites ….

Ready for a break, I am… one of two ladies I grew up listening to, Mother Maybelle Carter doing “Wildwood Flower”… that’s her doing the lead picking and singing..
Back to the weather briefly here is the latest for my part of the Universe..
PERIODS OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THROUGHOUT THE DAY AS LOW PRESSURE AND A WARM FRONT APPROACH FROM THE SOUTHWEST. THE WARM FRONT WILL BE LOCATED ACROSS THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON. THERE WILL BE A RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING. PRESENT INDICATIONS SUGGEST THE TIME FRAME FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE FROM 200 PM UNTIL 900 PM. THE PRIMARY THREAT WILL BE LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS...WITH ISOLATED TORNADOES POSSIBLE NEAR THE WARM FRONT AND SURFACE LOW. THE THREAT FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL SHIFT TO OUR EAST AFTER 900 PM..
SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL BE NEEDED THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. CURRENT INDICATIONS SUGGEST THE PRIMARY TIME FOR SEVERE WEATHER THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING WILL BE FROM 200 PM UNTIL 900 PM.
Here is how my world looked this morning, birds and other creatures were busy starting the day..
checked out the compost bin while I was out and about… getting it started.. I let worms do all the work, you know
came back inside and checked on the weather while listening to this lady, Kitty Wells.. a country legend… the name of the song is “It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels”…
had to repot the tomatoes, they were getting too big for the smaller pots.. won’t put them out till the end of the month..
got the homemade flowing bird bath going… the birds love this one….
and I got the bog ponds ready, the day lillies were starting to come up…
Well, I’ve bored you people long enough and have to get ready for the weather event.. may not be in here or online much this afternoon….Soooooooooooooo everyone have a smilin' gooooooooooooooooood day full of Peace Love and Happiness and I'll see you next time if the good Lord's willing and the creeks don't rise....
and finally Mr. Lefty Frizzell will finish this show...how about it ladies, any Texas Two Steppers out there wish to join this ole Marine????…
G'Day everyone, Dutch here! Welcome to my little place in the Universe!
Going to do a short blog here, had a busy weekend in the yard and garden, “spring cleanup” as it’s called … also some maintenance items… for the next few blogs gonna play the music I grew up with… some is kind of hard to find a half century later because that was BEFORE country wasn’t cool..
anyway I met this person on a couple of occasions.. Mom and Dad had a local band and they would play on the radio, at dances, fairs and the like.. he was known as the “Tennessee Plowboy”, Eddy Arnold… I use to listen to him quite a bit on the WLS Barn Dance.. but first a little something from the Barn Dance…
Sooooooooooooooooooo put your troubles aside, pull up a chair and visit a spell… I danced many a dance to this one…
was a busy weekend trying to tidy up, looks like a stormy week…just remember it’s subject to change... here’s the latest for my place in the Universe..
here is today’s outlook from Norman, Okla.. so you folks down wind to the SW of here keep watch on the weather… possible tornadoes, large hail, strong winds along with more rain…
this is the way things are shaping up for tomorrow….
so needing to get some loose ends finished today and “batten the hatches”…. this was one of my mom’s favorites…
this was how things looked here when the sun come up this morning…
with the weather being so nice, Bree has been going at a dead run sunup to sunset trying to keep the neighborhood under control.. crashes and burns around 10 PM and won’t move a muscle till sunup and then do it all over again.. feed her two pounds a food a day and she burns up three..
< here’s a picture of a blackbird standing watch…>
they are starting a nest in the top of the pine.. a pair of doves have a nest started just below them… he’ll sit there and sound the alarm if anything approaches and soon you have a flock of them there ready for a fight.. All kinds of birds use those pines for different reasons as well as other trees… they, along with other yard folk here, have food and water here and no one bothers them...Bree and Miss Daisy see to that…
well I had better scoot, got to go finish up the day… gonna have grilled pork cutlets and leftovers today, beef stew on the agenda for tomorrow.. Soooooooooooooo everyone have a smilin' gooooooooooooooooood day full of Peace Love and Happiness and I'll see you next time if the good Lord's willing and the creeks don't rise....
G'Day everyone, Dutch here! Welcome to my little place in the Universe!
Gonna post a short blog here for the weekend… some of the biker boys down a Billy’s pub pop into my blog every now and then and last night they put in a request for some Johnny Paycheck beer drinking music so I said not a problem… I have three of them, will start with Old Violin, put I Feel Like Crying somewhere in the middle and finish with my favorite The Outlaws Prayer….
Sooooooooooooo put your troubles aside, pull up a chair and visit a spell….
My new pc came yesterday and in the process of getting it set up… dreary and cool today so now’s the perfect time to be working on it.. just getting the basics for the moment… this weekend is suppose to be a good one..
Saturday; Mostly sunny, with a high near 61F degrees. Southwest wind between 3 and 7 mph.
Saturday Night; Partly cloudy, with a low around 37F degrees. South southeast wind between 5 and 7 mph

With that being said it will a busy time and I probably won’t be in here much if at all until Monday or so… could be a rainy week next and got the ponds, some wiring and the like to do… and fire up the charcoal grille to make it official… So with that I’ll see you folks next week…. a little more Paycheck
so taking this time to wish everyone a
and you will always been in my
and may all your nights be enchanting and full of sweet dreams and your days be filled with laughter and happiness and may the breezes surround you with heaven sent love….Soooooooooooooo everyone have a smilin' gooooooooooooooooood day full of Peace Love and Happiness and I'll see you next week if the good Lord's willing and the creeks don't rise....
